The Student Forum in Prague for the World March

Over 150 students from 5 schools in Prague participated in The Student Forum organized by the Humanist Movement. After a film-document about Active Nonviolence the Indian ambassador Mr. Srivastava opened the forum with his speech about Gandhi’s life and nonviolent struggle.
Then the students divided into 4 workshops according to their interest. The “Nonviolent Solutions to Poverty” workshop was led by Tomas Tozicka, expert on developing countries.
The “Media and their Impact” workshop was led by Marek Jehlicka, PR specialist. The “Nonviolence in Everyday Life” workshop was led by Dana Feminova, spokeswoman of the World March for the Czech Republic. The last workshop, “Active Nonviolence as a Way to Multiculturalism” was led by Yambi Mwesigwa and Jan Pospisil, volunteers of the Convergence of Cultures. The summaries of each workshop were presented by students at the closing ceremony. Photos in high resolution:
