On October 2, 2009 on the first day of the World Peace March, DUO members around the world will light a candle from 8-10 PM (local time) for world peace.

If members from every time zone participate, a wave of continuous candlelight by DUO members will sweep around the world.  A minimum of 2 hours each will allow for time-zone overlap.  Each member will spend their 2 hours any way they wish.  Members from 65 countries have signed up for the Wave.

DUO For World Peace is an online group of Care2 "dedicated to making progress towards world peace by joining together people who believe in the DUO principles.  Key elements are the Golden Rule and religious tolerance.

The group believes that their code has two basic rules (hence the name DUO and also stands for Do Unto Others) and that those who follow them are good people.  The second rule is a vital part of the first rule that needs more emphasis.

The group has 3372 people and is open to anyone who agrees with DUO's principles.
