5 Nota Caracol Tv sobre MM con Piero_colombia
Colombia's main news station will periodically report news regarding the first planetary march that seeks to raise awareness on nuclear disarmament and an end to all wars.
PressenzaCaracas, 2009-04-12Chilean Tomas Hirsch, spokesperson for humanism in Latin America, reported that the organization that he represents has reached an agreement with the largest television chain in Colombia, Caracol TV. This station is one of the top three in America. "During the trip we took in March we had several interviews, and they promised to issue weekly or biweekly news pieces on the World March for Peace and Nonviolence," said the former candidate of the Chilean Left, clearly enthusiastic about the agreement.
The World March for Peace and Nonviolence is a humanist proposal promoted by the international organization World Without Wars. World Without Wars seeks to generate awareness among the populations and influence those in power about the urgency of nuclear and conventional disarmament, the withdrawal of troops from occupied territories, and the signing of non-aggression treaties between countries. The organizers also suggest that if used, only 10% of what is now invested in arms production could overcome hunger worldwide.
Caracol TV was enthusiastic about the initiative, which could greatly assist with diffusion being that many programs on the station have been internationally recognized.
