Message from CND Cymru for the League of Mayors against the Radar

The peace-loving people of Wales are today here in spirit alongside our brothers and sisters of the Czech Republic and Poland.

We know that US missile ‘defense’ plans (which also involve the development of US installations in Britain) affect every one of us in Europe.

Violent conflict seems inevitable unless Europe, Russia and the US stop their addiction to war preparations and take a lead in facing up to the real dangers of climate change, pollution, resource depletion and over population.

We call on the governments of all nations to listen to the people whom they represent and on whose behalf they work.

CND Cymru sends warmest wishes of support and solidarity to the League of Mayors against the Radar, the Nonviolent Movement against Bases, Europe for Peace and World Without Wars and all groups here today campaigning for peace and justice and a better, safer world.
