The Invisibles against US missile defense
Czech opponents to U.S. radar demonstrate in Brussels

Brussels - Over one hundred people, mainly Czechs, attended two demonstrations against the planned stationing of a U.S. missile defence radar base in the Czech Republic outside the European Parliament (EP) buildings in Brussels today.
The events were organised by the Czech League of Mayors against Radar and the Non-Violence civic group.
Representatives of the two organisations said they expected the demonstrations and a public hearing that will be held in the EP today to provoke a more intensive debate on the planned stationing of elements of the U.S. missile defence system in the Czech Republic and Poland.
"We are here also because the Czech Republic currently holds the EU presidency and it seems that the country clearly supports the stationing of the radar. It is, however, possible that most members of the European Parliament do not know that a majority of Czech population is against the plan," organiser Jan Tamas told journalists.
