In the context of the 1st World March for Peace and Nonviolence, an International Forum for Peace and Nuclear Disarmament in the Mediterranean will take place on the 3rd and 4th of April in Palermo.

Giorgio Schultze, as European Spokesperson for New Humanism is convoking this Forum together with the International Spokesperson for the World March, Rafael de la Rubia; Manuela Fumagalli, Coordinator for the WM in Italy and Fabrizio Ferrandelli, from the Centre of Cultures of the Mediterranean – Palermo.

Programme:

Friday 3rd of April:

11:30am-2:00pm Institutional opening of the Forum for Peace, gathering and lunch with the Press and VIPs – Palazzo delle Aquile – Palermo Municipality.

3:00pm-6:00pm Conference of Representatives of Mediterranean Nations and the academic world about conflicts, nuclear weapons and the process of peace in the Mediterranean area with particular attention to armed conflicts in the area of the Balkans and Israel-Palestine – University of Palermo.

Saturday 4th of April:

8:00pm Words and sounds for Peace – Multiethnic and inter-cultural party – Piazza Politeama - Palermo.
