Dear Friends :
Yesterday , the Peace Soccer Game was held at the new La Florida Soccer Stadium in Santiago, Chile, organized by the Gol Iluminado Foundation, directed by Elías Figueroa ( Chile's best soccer player ever, twice nominated as the world's best soccer player ). This Organization has adhered to the World March for Peace and Non Violence, andsince then has invited us to join them in their activities.
Thus, achieving our goal of being invited to other organization's activities instead of having to organize everything ourselves , as we have been used to do.
Before the real game, which joined the best actual chilean soccer players, there were a few issues :
1.- A cocktail were all the players already present wore the T-shirt of the World March for Peace and Non Violence, and stood for Photographs.
2.- A soccer game by the chilean women national team against a local team. The Women players of both teams came into the field wearing the T-shirt of the World March.
3.- Chats with the soccer players, where many of them joined as endorsers of the March.
4.- Conversation with the headmaster of chilean soccer, who is seriously thinking in having us participating in a project that we told him about : to have 2009 as the year of Non Violence in the chilean soccer.
Three creative women from our Action team, Press team and National Endorsements team, brought close to 150 children and with them formed the Non Violence symbol in the center of the field, just before the main game was going to start.
You may also see in the pictures , how a Banner of the World March went through all the Stadium and people cheered and applauded enthusiastically.
Also in the 2 large Digital Screens , the videos of Federico Palumbo and the Logo of the World March were constantly shown.
And all this event was transmitted to all Chile via MegaVisión TV, one of the 4 large open TV channels in Chile.
I hope you all enjoy this.
