The Invisibles against US missile defense
Jan Tamas - Strike at Star Wars
26.9.2008
Stop feeding the war maching and start feeding the people!
That’s the message from an international hunger strike now in its 15th week.
When the Government of the Czech Republic ignored the overwhelming majority of its people who oppose the United States’ ballistic missile defence radar base being built on their soil, two men from the No-Bases Initiative started a hunger strike in protest.
One of those strikers, Jan Tamáš, talks about how his individual protest morphed into a rolling campaign involving more than 100 hunger strikers and the support of world leaders.
